Kendama Israel
Arguably the most dominant player in the kendama scene, Takuya Igarashi has cemented himself as a kendama legend in convincing fashion. Coming off a double podium performance at the European Kendama Championship (in which he beat last year’s freestyle champion, Yasuhito Chiba, to take first) Takuya is positioned to have an extremely fruitful kendama career moving forward. His quick reflexes, intuitive and intense playstyle, and seemingly endless array of tricks and techniques has allowed Takuya to podium at every major event in Europe and Japan. If he is able to attend this year’s North American Kendama Open, he will be a heavy favorite in both the freestyle and open divisions. That being said, his freestyle presence is virtually unmatched. With the ability to literally mirror his opponents runs and add his own tricks, no player has come close to figuring out the formula to topple this titan. He shows no signs of slowing down, and as competitions continue to rise in intensity, Takuya will be right there alongside it with eyes on the prize.
