As kendama continued to gather momentum across the east coast, Skillderness (later to be known as Honed Media) hosted one of Florida’s first major kendama events. The event was heavily supported by both the local scene and the kendama industry, and even sported a custom made kendama crown for first prize. This event would begin a series of kendama events and content from Honed Media, eventually leading to their annual Dama to the Death competition.
